Our Story
Our church family traces its roots back to 1884, when believers gathered under the oaks of the Crenshaw Plantation and petitioned Bethel Presbytery to form what became Beulah Presbyterian Church. In 1911, the growing congregation built a new sanctuary in Van Wyck and took on the name Van Wyck Presbyterian Church.
Through seasons of growth, rebuilding, and even painful division in the 1970s, God has carried this church. In 1977, the congregation began a new chapter of healing and renewal. Since then, Van Wyck Presbyterian has continued to worship, serve, and expand ministry — including the addition of a new fellowship hall in 2009 to support our growing church family.
Today, we remain rooted in the community, value authentic relationships, and are a connectional church within the PC(USA) of Providence Presbytery.
